Kent Weakley is an artist/photographer who lives in Florida.
Originally growing up in Illinois, Kent studied art & photography at the Art Institute of Chicago and earned a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree from the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio.
Kent has developed a style of panoramic landscapes which uses an infrared black and white photographic technique that captures his creativity. It is within the borders of an infrared image that magic seems to occur. Not color, not black & white, but infrared photography reveals depths invisible to the human eye.
Shapes, forms, compositions are extracted and displayed clearly.
"Revealing magical, ethereal, and invisible images is the attraction that has drawn me to infrared photography. What lies before my lens and what becomes the final print are seemingly different worlds. Yet, all around us every day, infrared light saturates us constantly."
