Artist Julie Zimmer’s work is inspired by a sensual attachment to natural elements found in the farmlands and forests of her childhood in rural Indiana. Working with organic pure pigments on cork panels, the paint is at once absorbed and repelled producing a unique pooling effect rich in earth tones and vivid hues. Julie’s work is collected by private clients throughout the United States. Corporate collectors include: Darden Restaurants, Lisa Lori Communications, TEAM Marketing, Banda Advertising, and Soco Interiors. Julie Zimmer currently lives and works in Marshall, North Carolina.
