Born and raised in Northern California, Marissa (Sheaman) Voytenko has always felt at home with a pencil in her hand. Her artistic interests led her to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Art from Westmont College and a Master’s of Fine Arts from Boston University. While she has much experience teaching art, her true passion has always been in creating. Her artwork explores the concepts of beauty, mystery and fragility of life. “Working with pencil and encaustic allows me to juxtapose the precision of a line with the mysterious quality of wax”. An avid traveler, Marissa now resides in Central Florida with her husband. |
