Sunny Noel was born in August 1977 in St. Augustine, FL but spent most of her time in the Asheville area of North Carolina. Drawing from a variety of disciplines, Sunny Noel creates work that spans a wide range of contemporary art but non-object abstract oil painting is best suited for her colorist approach.

She explains, “I have a great appreciation for interior design and how shape and color react in a room. I build my abstract work to accentuate this interplay, keeping in mind how my choice of color and composition bring together the environmental balance that my work will be displayed in. There are endless opportunities when making abstract paintings to explore so many moods and color tones. It is a great joy to see the finished piece but equally satisfying is applying the problem solving technique in building the piece. The challenge of capturing the correct balance of shape and color is just as exciting as seeing the piece to completion.” Sunny studied at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and currently lives in the Tampa Bay Florida area.
