Born in 1957 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, David’s appreciation of the arts originated in the rustic and folk genres, particularly western themes. Now residing in Orlando Florida, his exposure to more abstract and contemporary forms of expression uncovered a talent and passion for texture, color and patternthat has only recently been discovered.

An intuitive painter, David finds expression in the unexpected images that are “uncovered” during his experimentation with various media. Through mixed media of found objects, metal and acrylic on plexiglass, he finds painting to be a more interactive process not limited to the traditional and finite tools of paint brushes and canvas.
