Jerry has worked as a practicing Architect since 1968, focusing primarily on residential design. In 2003, he made the decision to work part time as an Architect, and part time as a fine artist.
Since then, he has created pieces of art using several different mediums, including pencil, acrylics, and wood sculptures. His most recent works, however, are focused primarily on the use Of Pastels. The pastels connect well with Jerry's architectural background, and allow him to capture a place and a moment of time in a soft, yet detailed manner.
His pieces have won numerous, awards, including "Best of Show" at the ALL ISLAND ART SHOW in Martha's Vineyard, and publication in this year's PASTEL JOURNAL (100 of 2009's best pastels).
His work is currently being shown at several galleries around the country, including Willoughby's Fine Art Gallery in Edgartown, Mass., and the Old Courthouse Gallery in Woodstock, Illinois.
For the past 22 years, Jerry has made his home in Tampa, Florida, though he was born and raised in a small town in the Midwest.
