Joy M. Angeloff is a local artist living in Winter Park Florida. The influences of man, nature and machine help to make up the digital artwork that Joy is currently working on. Each image she photographs capturing line, texture and movement of the natural and manmade world around her. She then transforms them as she paints, draws and sculpts digitally.
She attended the Art Institute of Chicago where her concentration of study was oil painting. She then transferred to Columbia College in Chicago Illinois to focus on writing, film and drawing. In 1999 she moved form Chicago to Orlando Florida where she studied to become a SPFX make-up artist. This allowed her to utilize her sculpting and painting skills on a daily basis but with a different canvas.
Joy has worked as part of a group and as an individual artist. She has been commissioned to create large and small pieces in a variety of mediums, from sculptures (wood, fiberglass, stone, foam latex and clay), paintings (oil and acrylic), print (product labels, cds and magazines) and props of all types. Joy is credited in a variety of films, has worked for multiple theater groups, theme parks, private parties, schools, Universities, and hospitals. In her current creative environment she hopes to keep expanding her skills as an artist and continue to bring her view of the world around her to others. |
