An artist and musician since childhood, Sean Christian Dampier is an Orlando artist working in acrylic, watercolor and wet media. Primarily self-taught, his style is energetic, expressive and resides in a place somewhere between realism and abstraction. He is influenced by modern illustration as much as traditional fine art. His years as a musician have made an impact as well. "I find that the lines, splatters and shapes that move throughout a painting are my attempt at expressing the rhythms, melodies, harmonies and tempo of music in a visual medium." He often employs splatters of paint, overlapping transparent washer of color, and pencil or charcoal lines to create abstract forms, producing work that is modern and 'edgy' - a kind of 'representational expressionism'.

Sean grew up in Vermont, has spent years in both Seattle and Los Angeles, and finally settled in Orlando in 2000.
